~"2011 Memories"~

                  

This is a hunt that my dad, Ben, and I went on in the fall of 2011 we had a fun, exciting, crazy adventure I guess you could say! We didn't get anything but we had fun!! And most importantly we were able to spend time with the creator of all this!! We would stay up late while waiting for the horses to finish grazing and we would read the Bible and talk about what God has done in our lives it was truly an awesome trip!!! We hiked alot and didn't see anything but trees and rocks and scenery. We hiked to the top of so many different mountains I was beginning to wonder if we were mountain goats, but the view was gorgeous and and we all got in shape!! these pictures were all taken from the top of different mountain tops!!

Rachel's Hunt

This is the very first elk that My sister Rachel has ever shot. She went out for a few days with my dad and were not having much luck and were fixing to head to camp when my dad spotted this bull with about 13 cows. So my dad and Rachel started stalking it they were quite a ways away so it took them a long time to get to it cause the trek over there was long and steep, but with much work they got close enough to take a shot they were about 425 yards away. She was using a 270 and used 3 shots she said she was so excited that she was shaking!!!! The trip to pack this elk out was interesting they were on top of the highest mountain around so My younger brother Ben, my dad, and I started hiking towards the top then cut it up and hiked out with about 70 pounds of meat on each person. it was alot of work but well worth it this bull score roughly around 345! it is now in the process of getting mounted
